JIMMY KEMP RIP: Jimmy’s funeral will be held at Babworth Crematorium at 11am next Thursday 9th March. We pray for the family at this very difficult time having lost his brother Barry in the same week.

RETIRING COLLECTION: There will be retiring collections after weekend masses this week for CAFOD Family Fast Day

Live Sustainably with Creation - Use the improved labels on plastic packaging to recycle it correctly.

Live in Solidarity with the Poor - Pray for people affected by the Earthquake in Turkey and Syria, for people affected by the war in Ukraine and for people all over the world affected by Climate Change.


Kiveton: The Ecumenical Lenten Group continues to meet at 7pm on Thursdays as follows: 9th March - All Hallowes, Harthill; 16th March - St.Peter’s, Thorpe Salvin; 23rd March - Wales Methodist and on 30th March - St John the Baptist, Wales. Dinnington: Local Anglican Churches are running a Lenten Course with a focus on the classic film ‘Casablanca’. Each session is a mix of film clips, bible study and reflection and continues on Wednesdays at 7.30pm as follows: The Bridge New Life Church - Dinnington, 8th March, Of all the gin joints in all the towns in all the world..”.; St. George’s - Woodsetts, 15th March, “We’ll always have Paris”. South Anston Methodist Church, 22nd March, “I stick my neck out for nobody”. St Leonard’s - Dinnington, 29th March, “Welcome back to the fight”.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION PREPARATION GROUP: The next meeting will take place on 16th March at 6,30 in the Parish Rooms

HALLAM YOUTH – Lourdes Young people travel with their school groups but this year places are available for young people aged 16+ in parishes, who do not attend Catholic schools, who wish to join Hallam Youth on the diocesan pilgrimage. Email for details.

SYNOD NEXT STEPS IN HALLAM: Saturday 25th March at Blessed Trinity, Wickersley, 10.00-2.00. “You’ve read the Continental Srage Document, yopu’ve thought about it, you’ve responded to it, lets get together and hear from each other about how synodality is developing in your parish. The event is free but partici[ants should bring their own packed lunch. Bookings can be made on the Formation and Mission Eventbrite page. See link below.
