LOURDES COFFEE MORNING:
Many thanks to all who came to our recent coffee morning and supported our parish Lourdes fund raising. Many thanks also for the donations of cakes and raffle prizes. A wonderful £286.76p was raised! Well done and thank you to Margaret O’Rourke and Pat Henstock for organising such an enjoyable and worthwhile event.
THE CATHOLIC CERTIFICATE IN RELIGIOUS STUDIES (CCRS):

Leeds Walsingham Way is a NEW Joint Diocesan Camino for the Year of St Francis of Assisi! The Camino begins Saturday 12 September with 8am Pilgrims’ Mass at Leeds Cathedral, followed by a walk to Wakefield
On Sunday there is an 8am Mass at St Austin’s, Wakefield, followed by a walk into Hallam;
On Tuesday 15th September there is an 8am Mass at St Marie’s Cathedral, Sheffield, followed by a walk to the Padley Martyrs’ Chapel.
ALL are welcome to join for the Masses.

DIOCESE OF HALLAM - Choral Director – Full Time
Contract: Permanent subject to satisfactory probation period
Based: Remotely at participating NSSP schools and parishes
Starting: November 2026 (negotiable)
The Diocese of Hallam is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and appropriately qualified
Choral Director who, working closely with the Lead Diocesan Choral Director, will be
responsible for working within local Catholic schools to implement and develop the
National Schools Singing Programme (NSSP).
The Choral Director will work within schools Catholic primary schools and will be
responsible for the development of choral singing in those schools, nurturing
potential in the diverse communities those schools are located in. The core work of
the Choral Director takes place during the school day in the diocesan primary schools,
although children in the NSSP with a particular interest in singing will be encouraged
to take part in after-school choirs and Sunday Masses and services.
The Diocese of Hallam constitutes South Yorkshire as well as areas of Northeast
Derbyshire and North Nottinghamshire. Some travel in the Diocese will therefore be
required and applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and have use of a car.

DIGITAL GIVING:
Hopefully you have seen the credit card reader which has recently been installed at the back of St Joseph’s church. Sadly there was a small deficit last year in our parish funds and therefore it needs to be as easy as possible for parishioners to contribute to our parish.
There are now two new ways of cashless giving
1. It’s very easy to use the card reader at the back of church, clear instructions are
with the machine,

2. You can use the QR code in church and on the website, just scan the code and
follow the simple instructions
