RIP PAT WILSON: Pat died peacefully on the 22nd of April at Rotherham Hospital. He would have celebrated his 95th birthday on July 14th. Pat’s life will be celebrated on the 17th of May at 11am at St.Joseph’s Church followed by a burial at Todwick Cemetery where he will be laid to rest with his beloved wife Wyn and his two sons Terry and Phillip.

SYNOD: SYNTHESIS REPORT OF THE DIOCESAN PHASE: This Synthesis of the listening and discernment that has taken place in the diocese for the past six months has been submitted to the Bishops’ Conference. You can find a summary of what has been said included with today’s issues of the Hallam News. You will see that there is much about the Church that brings joy to people as well as much that we need to do to be a Church that allows and encourages all to respond to their baptismal calling.
MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS – Caritas Hallam Appeal: Caritas Hallam offers a professional Schools Service to support children’s mental health and well-being within our schools. They also provide professional counselling and ‘cradle to grave’ help and support to everyone in our communities. But not everyone can afford to pay for the help they need. Over the weekend of the 14-15 May, there will be a second collection to support the work of Caritas Hallam, and every penny will be going to support the mental health of the people in our Diocese. Please be as generous as you can. Thank you.

We are seeking to appoint a Cover Supervisor, term time only for 5 days per week (45 weeks at 37 hours per week). Hours of work at 7:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Thursday and 7:40am – 3:10, Friday. The main purpose of the post is to organise cover and deliver teaching and learning to students in Keystage 3 and 4.
To be considered for this position you must:
