PILGRIMS OF HOPE:
The Hallam Diocese pilgrimage to Walsingham is scheduled for Saturday, 26 July 2025, as part of the Jubilee Year celebrations. Entitled "Pilgrims of Hope," this event constitutes a significant aspect of the Diocese’s programme of parish pilgrimages. For the first time, a group of cyclists from across the Diocese will travel from the Shrine of Our Lady in Doncaster to the National Shrine of Our Lady at Walsingham. Parishioners are invited to submit prayer petitions, which will be personally delivered to the National Shrine and presented during the Diocesan Mass, to be celebrated by Bishop Ralph on 26 July.
This cycling pilgrimage will support two children's charities: Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice and Let the Children Live Charity. Small donations are encouraged from individuals who wish to contribute, with all proceeds being donated directly to these charities. John Cape will participate as a cycling pilgrim representing St. Joseph’s and Blessed William Richardson Churches, and he will personally deliver parishioner petitions and donations.
Prayer petitions may be placed in the designated box at the rear of Blessed William Richardson Church on Saturday, 19th July and at St. Joseph’s Church on Sunday, 20th July. Thank you for your support.
