ST WILFRID'S CENTRE QUIZ AND PIE NIGHT- Thursday April 25 7pm-

After the success of our last quiz night and due to popular demand, we are holding another Quiz Night. This time, the quiz and challenges will be accompanied by pie and peas. Please come and join us at what will be a very enjoyable event, while helping to raise much needed funds to help the vulnerable, isolated and homeless adults in Sheffield. NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER IN SUPPORT OF SURVIVORS OF ABUSE: Bishop Ralph Heskett will be leading a service at the parish hall of St Michael and All Angels Wombwell on Tuesday 30th April at 7-00pm. The service is for all parishioners, volunteers, clergy and curia staff to attend. The key element of the service is for the church to unite as one to show survivors that we stand beside them and offer our love, care and support in their healing.  Steel City Choristers will provide lovingly prepared songs during the service.


LIVE SIMPLY APRIL:

Live Simply and Sustainably with Creation:  Grow bee friendly plants, put out a dish of water for bees, make a bee hotel in your garden.

Live in Solidarity with the Poor:  Wonderful news - a debt cancellation deal for Zambia has been agreed, a cause for celebration.


DIOCESAN PILGRIMAGE TO LOURDES:- Friday 28th June - 4th July 2024

Have you considered travelling on the Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes in the Year of Prayer?   All are very welcome to join Bishop Ralph, clergy and parishioners  from around the Diocese on the 2024 pilgrimage to Lourdes.  The organisers ask anyone who is interested to send their booking forms in as soon as possible so that plans can be made. Any outstanding information can be sent later.  Booking forms are available to download at: www.hallam-lourdes.com. HALLAM YOUTH:  Hallam Youth are taking a group of young people to World Youth Day, Lisbon, in August.  A parishioner has very kindly offered to do the 3 Peaks challenge  to help us raise money.
