VOCATIONS WEEKEND FOR WOMEN (20s & 30s): Theme: Discerning God's Call in your life

The weekend is organised by the Sisters, Faithful Companions of Jesus (FCJ).

Jesus invites each of us to 'Come and See' - this weekend will give the opportunity to explore the vocation to religious life and to reflect on God's call to you.

If you are wondering if God is calling you to religious life and would like to find out more why not come along? You are welcome to stay for the weekend or just come along on Saturday for the day. There will be opportunity for prayer, reflection and input, chance to ask questions and to meet others who are also wondering where God is calling them.

FRUITS OF THE SYNOD MEETING

An opportunity to come together and hear from each other about how the fruits of the synod are developing in Hallam Diocese.

With the submissions of all the Continental Assemblies to Rome in preparation for the meeting of Bishops in October, we have an opportunity to reflect on the synodal process in our own diocese. This gathering will allow us to share some of the Fruits of the Synod that are happening in parishes across the Hallam Diocese.

OUR LADY OF DONCASTER: St Peter in Chains, Doncaster: Two dates for your Diary

Saturday, May 20th: launch of a newly-written Shrine Guide Book written by the designer

of the Shrine, Mr Rod Flint, which includes a guide to the present Shrine and a history of the pre reformation shrine that was established in the 14th century and which became the 5th most important Shrine in the land. Mass 12pm, followed by The Rosary at the Shrine, a talk about the Shrine at 2.15 then complimentary cream cakes, tea and coffee and Benediction at 3.45pm Guide books can be purchased at a cost of £5 each.

Saturday, June 3rd. June 4th is the Feast Day of Our Lady of Doncaster, but as it falls on a

Sunday this year the celebrations will take place on Saturday June 3rd.

Mass 12pm followed by the Rosary at the Shrine then complimentary cakes, tea and coffee.

PLANNING SYNOD MEETING: We are having a gathering up on what's been going on over the last year since the last big meeting. There will be a planning meeting to think about this.

Anyone who wants to contribute for the planning meeting can come to the PC on the 17th of May at 7pm, join by zoom or send your contributions to the formation and mission team. Please email us at formation-mission@hallam-diocese.com and let us know how you want to participate.

We are seeking to appoint a Cleaning Operative to work under the direction and instruction of the Site Manager. The post is 10 hours per week, 6.00am to 8.00am, Monday to Friday, term time only plus 10 days (*the 10 days will be worked during the last 2 weeks of the summer holiday, excluding the bank holiday).

We are seeking an individual with:

• previous cleaning work experience

• good communication skills

• the ability to work well in a team as well as working on own initiative • good basic literacy and numeracy skills
