SPECIAL COLLECTION:
In loving appreciation of Bishop Ralph’s faithful service as the Bishop of Hallam for almost 12 years (from his installation on July 10, 2014, to his retirement on March 20, 2026 for health reasons) we are to have a special collection for him after Masses on 4th/5th July. We pray for an improvement in his health and wish him a very happy retirement.
EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS:
There will be a meeting of Eucharistic Ministers at St Joseph's on Monday 22nd June at 7pm, for reflection and training. Anyone interested is welcome to find out about this ministry. Refreshments will be served.
WOMEN TOGETHER IN HALLAM:
You are warmly invited to our first meting to meet our Diocesan new link for the National Board of Catholic Women (NBCW), Judith Green. This gathering aims to help build a strong network of women across the Diocese of Hallam! STELLA MARIS:
Formerly called Apostleship of the Sea, Stella Maris is seeking one volunteer from this parish to help with Sea Sunday (which falls on 11/12 July this year). This is the day when the Church comes together to pray for seafarers, fishers and their families, and takes a second collection to support the work of Stella Maris. The volunteer will read out the appeal (which Stella Maris will provide) at the end of Masses that weekend. If you can kindly do this, please contact roland.hayes@stellamarismail.org
In addition all parishioners are warmly invited to an online webinar being run by Stella Maris on Wednesday 17th June from 7:30pm to 9pm. You will hear about the work that Stella Maris has been doing with seafarers and fishers over the past year or so, including the use of the funds kindly donated on Sea Sunday last year. 34.5 hours across 5 days (Monday to Thursday 8.15 am to 3.45 pm and Friday 8.15 am to 2.45 pm to include a 30-minute unpaid lunch break each day.

The successful candidate will:

• Be prepared to adopt and support the core values and ethos of St Mary’s Catholic High School in order to support our pupils and other staff colleagues.

Previous experience within a similar role would be desirable, however, it is not essential.

DIGITAL GIVING:
Hopefully you have seen the credit card reader which has recently been installed at the back of St Joseph’s church. Sadly there was a small deficit last year in our parish funds and therefore it needs to be as easy as possible for parishioners to contribute to our parish.
There are now two new ways of cashless giving
1. It’s very easy to use the card reader at the back of church, clear instructions are
with the machine,

2. You can use the QR code in church and on the website, just scan the code and
follow the simple instructions
