NOTICES

RETIRING COLLECTION: Next weekend (28th/29th January) Shauna Hilton will be making an appeal on behalf of LEPRA and there will be a special collection to support the charity at both Kiveton and St Joseph’s.

COMMUNION WINE: As of 5th February we will be re-introducing the opportunity for people at the Dinnington Sunday Mass to participate in the taking of wine (the Blood of Christ). The wine will be distributed in “individual” goblet containers. Our Kiveton church has been doing this for a few months and has come up with a process that is safe for all. We will be explaining this process in more detail nearer the time but please be assured that the Reflection Group have discussed this issue in great detail and is agreed that we can now safely bring back the wine into our Mass.

COLLECTION FOR DINNINGTON FOOD BANK: The collection for the Food Bank last Sunday was £385.90. Les and Joanne Clarke of the Salvation Army sent their thanks for your generosity.

HOME FROM HOME HALLAM UPDATE: Home from Home Hallam are continuing to support a Syrian refugee family in our Diocese. There are more details about our project and how our family is progressing in our newsletter (https://hallam-diocese.com/caritas/home-from-home/#homehomenews).

THE POPE’S INTENTIONS FOR JANUARY: For educators We pray that educators may be credible witnesses, teaching fraternity rather than competition and helping the youngest and most vulnerable above all.
