LENTEN MEETINGS:

Kiveton: Weekly Ecumenical meetings are taking place at 7pm throughout March beginning Thursday 2nd March at Blessed William Richardson Church, Kiveton.

Dinnington: Local Anglican Church’s are running a Lenten Course with a focus on the classic film ‘Casablanca’. Each session is a mix of film clips, bible study and reflection. It's a 5 week course Wednesdays at 7.30pm as follows:St. James’ - South Anston; 1st March, ‘Exit Papers’; The Bridge New Life Church - Dinnington, 8th March, Of all the gin joints in all the towns in all the world..”.; St. George’s - Woodsetts, 15th March, “We’ll always have Paris”. South Anston Methodist Church, 22nd March, “I stick my neck out for nobody”. St Leonard’s - Dinnington, 29th March, “Welcome back to the fight”.

WHAT’S APP GROUP: There is a lively Parish ‘Whats App‘ group ( approximately 70 people currently ) which was expanded during Covid and was a lifeline for many people. If you would like to be added to the group send a text to Monica on 07813920844 with your details. Your telephone must be ‘what’s app’ ready. It would also be useful whilst you are doing that to share an email address as well if you have one.

THE DEAKIN AND WITHERS FUND: Grants of up to £750 are available for women over 40 years old who are single, divorced, widowed, in need or hardship and active members of a Church. The money can be used to pay utility bills or for household items, but it cannot go towards anything that has already been paid for or holidays. HALLAM YOUTH – Lourdes Young people travel with their school groups but this year places are available for young people aged 16+ in parishes, who do not attend Catholic schools, who wish to join Hallam Youth on the diocesan pilgrimage. Email smcdonald@hallam-diocese.com for details.

Live in Solidarity with the Poor

Pray for people in the UK who are in debt because of the cost of living crisis and for low income countries whose economies are crippled by debt.
