PARISH APPEAL: Next week, 1st/2nd June, there will be a parish appeal by Brother John Deeney at both our weekend Masses.. Fr Andy will celebrate the Masses.
ROSARY GROUP:The Holy Rosary for World peace continues to be said every Thursday at 2pm in the Parish rooms. Do try to pop in one Thursday. There is tea and biscuits afterwards.
SACRAMENT OF THE SICK: There will be a Mass with Sacrament of the Sick followed by afternoon tea in the Parish rooms at 12 O’clock on Wednesday June 5th.
BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION: Fr Andy is 70 on Saturday 15th of June and he would like a party. He will celebrate Holy Mass on the 15th June at 5.00 at St Joseph’s ( no Mass at Kiveton on that evening). This will be followed by a party in Church where we can share in his celebration.
CORPUS CHRISTI: This year’s Corpus Christi Procession in Sheffield will be on Sunday 2nd June, starting at 3.00pm from St Marie’s Cathedral. The procession is a wonderful way to witness to our Catholic faith in Our Lord present in the Most Holy Eucharist, and absolutely everyone is welcome to attend. If any of the altar servers from the parish would like to come and help out with the procession, they would be more than welcome. Any children who have recently made their First Holy Communion are especially encouraged to come and be with Our Lord on this special occasion in the Church’s year.
SUMMER FAYRE - SATURDAY 6TH JULY 11am to 2pm: St Wilfrid’s are holding their summer fayre along with a wheel barrow competition with the theme of supporting vulnerable, isolated and homeless people (Decorated wheelbarrows must be one third plant based with the handles accessible and be able to be wheeled about. Rainproof objects can be included in the design. They can be individual, group or organisational entries (e.g schools) There is no entry fee and completed wheelbarrows must to be at St Wilfrid’s by the 5th July 1-4pm). There is also an appeal for knitted flowers as they want to display a flower cascade at the fayre.
