Happy Easter from everyone at St. Wilfrid’s Centre

Exhibition and Talk for Parish Groups

If you have any groups that would welcome a presentation, exhibition and/or talk about St Wilfrid’s Centre, please contact Bev Kershaw at bev@stwilfridscentre.org or 0114 2555720. Following the successful exhibition about the Centre at Sheffield’s Central Library and Millennium Gallery in December a number of people have suggested taking it out to parishes. We can bring some or all of the exhibition boards, together with some of the items for sale, made in our workshop or by our volunteers.

Volunteers

Now that we are able to have more clients in the Centre, we are hoping to recruit some new volunteers to support the services we offer clients. Bev Kershaw is our Volunteer and Events Coordinator and would love to hear from you (details above) if you have a few hours to spare one morning or afternoon a week. Further details are available on our website.

Parish Donations

Since joining the Centre in 2020, I have been trying to clarify which items are donated regularly by which parishes. I understand that some years ago a large number of parishes took responsibility for providing particular items needed by the Centre on a regular basis. There have obviously been a number of changes with parishes joining together and different people involved since then, so I am hoping that we might be able to ‘re-launch’ this approach. If your parish has continued to regularly provide St Wilfrid’s Centre with a specific group of items, please provide Patrick Delamere (patrickd@stwilfridscentre.org) with details. I can then circulate a list to all parishes to see if any are willing to take responsibility for other items we need – and fill the gaps.

20p for 2022

Response to our 20p for 2022 campaign has been very good. Given that we are looking to collect 1.57 million 20 pieces, we do have a little way to go still! So – if you haven’t downloaded our 20p for 2022 collection box, you will find it on our website. You are also welcome to call in the Centre and pick one (or more) up.

Very best wishes

Ruth (Director of St. Wilfrid’s Centre)
