A MESSAGE FROM FR ANDY: MASSES ON ZOOM

“It has been suggested that while we are having zoom Masses that we might be able to join in with the Mass on line more fully. The idea is to have ready at Mass time some bread and wine in your own home and when it is time for Holy Communion, we can all share in the Eucharistic celebration in a much richer way. So when I, as the priest, consecrate the bread and wine, those on zoom having the bread and wine in their presence are able to all eat and drink and share the same Eucharistic meal together. Hopefully this will help us to feel that we are still a faith community and close to the Lord and close to one another.”

For those unable to partake as above and who wish to receive Spiritual Communion the Catholic Bishops Conference offers the following prayer for recitation:

Oh my Jesus, I believe that you are present in this Holy Sacrament of the altar.

I love you above all things, and I passionately desire to receive You into my soul.

Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally come spiritually into my soul.

so that I may unite myself wholly to you now and forever. Amen

Please see below Zoom Mass details for this week:

Sunday 12th September at 9.30am: Meeting ID: 842 7381 2027 Passcode: 389929

Thursday 16th September at 9am: Meeting ID: 890 3900 1487 Passcode: 715133

Please be aware that with the reopening of the church in Kiveton, Saturday Zoom Masses have stopped.

  8. Press ‘submit’

If you require any help post on the Save Dinnington Miners Welfare Facebook page and tell us what you need help with.

Questions:

Q: Are my objections confidential?

A: No they may appear on the planning portal web site

Q: What kind of comments should I write?

A: Good question! Books could be written about this, but to summarise your objection will only carry weight if you object to recognised planning criteria. So for example “It will reduce the value of my property” is not a valid planning concern.Examples of good planning concerns in this case could be:

  1. The application does not conform to Rule 99 of the national planning policy framework (NPPF) which states “ Existing open space, sports and recreational buildings and land, including playing fields, should not be built on unless it will be replaced, is redundant, or the development is providing a facility which outweighs the loss”

  2. The application does not conform to the policy H1 Dinnington Neighbourhood plan which stipulates no more than 50% of new houses should have 4 or more bedrooms and 33% should have one or two bedrooms.

  3. The development will cause traffic congestion on Lodge Lane

  4. The development as proposed does not conform to RMBCs policy SP38 (loss of recreational land) and policy CS19 (conservation of green infrastructure)

For a master class on objecting to the proposal see our MPs objections here:
