LASZLO (LES) SAFRANY RIP: Les died on 7th April and is now reunited with his beloved wife Elizabeth who died in January.  Les' funeral service will be here at St Joseph's on Tuesday 23rd April at 10am and afterwards at Babworth Crematorium.  We keep Steve, Fiona and all the family in our thoughts and prayers at this very sad time.


ANNOUNCEMENT OF DEATHS:  We have sadly learned of the deaths of two parishioners. Maureen Appley  died during the night on Wednesday.   We pray for Helen  and the family. Also Paul Cummins who died on the 13th of April aged 56. We pray for  Julie and Sarah, Paul’s sisters and the  family. Funeral arrangements for both have not  yet been announced. Rest In Peace.


RETIRING COLLECTION:  There will be retring collections after Masses next weekend for the Preists training Fund.

ST WILFRID'S CENTRE QUIZ AND PIE NIGHT- Thursday April 25 7pm-  see poster and flyer

 After the success of our last quiz night and due to popular demand, we are holding another Quiz Night. This time, the quiz and challenges will be accompanied by pie and peas. Please come and join us at what will be a very enjoyable event, while helping to raise much needed funds to help the vulnerable, isolated and homeless adults in Sheffield. NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER IN SUPPORT OF SURVIVORS OF ABUSE: Bishop Ralph Heskett will be leading a service at the parish hall of St Michael and All Angels Wombwell on Tuesday 30th April at 7-00pm. The service is for all parishioners, volunteers, clergy and curia staff to attend. The key element of the service is for the church to unite as one to show survivors that we stand beside them and offer our love, care and support in their healing.  Steel City Choristers will provide lovingly prepared songs during the service.

Live Simply and Sustainably with Creation:  Grow bee friendly plants, put out a dish of water for bees, make a bee hotel in your garden.

Live in Solidarity with the Poor:  Wonderful news - a debt cancellation deal for Zambia has been agreed, a cause for celebration.
